Security has been beefed up in Rajasthan for the Republic Day celebrations with deployment of Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) and additional policemen.
In a meeting with the state police officers, ADG (Law and Order) NRK Reddy directed them to conduct intense checking at all the hotels, inns and public places ahead of the Republic day.
"Necessary directions have been issued to police officers in all the districts. A checking will be done on January 26," Reddy said.
He said sensitive areas are being given additional attention.
Another official of the Jaipur Police Commissionerate said all the units have been sensitised and a vigil is being kept all over.
He informed that all the senior police officers have been asked to increase patrolling.
