The carcass was in a decayed condition when wildlife officials spotted it near Padukka forest station recently, they said.
The tigress, which appeared to be around eight-year-old, had several injury marks on her body. According to preliminary assessment, the tigress might have been attacked and killed by a bison, the officials said.
