Tin and brass recover on fresh demand

Tin and brass prices recovered at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockists' buying amid fresh demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, copper utensils firmed up due to good buying from industrial users.

While, select copper slipped owing to sluggish demand from industrial users.

Tin prices rose by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 1,500 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,480 and brass sheet cuttings moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 359 as against Rs 356.

Copper utensils and brass utensils scrap edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 436 and Rs 343 as compared Rs 434 and Rs 343, respectively.

 

However, copper sheet cuttings declined by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 450 from Rs 457.

Copper cable scrap and copper billets edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 470 and Rs 498 as against Rs 472 and Rs 500.

Copper scrap heavy and copper armiture softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 465 and Rs 459.
