Tin and brass recover on renewed demand

Tin and brass recovered at the non-ferrous metals market here today on stockists' buying amid renewed demand from industrial users.

While aluminium and nickel eased owing to poor offtake from alloy industries.

Tin prices rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,340 from Wednesday's close at Rs 1,335.

Brass sheet cuttings moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 328 as against yesterday's close at Rs 325 and brass utensils scrap edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 310 from Rs 308.

However, nickel moved down by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 775 as compared to Rs 780.
 

Aluminium utensils edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 120 from Rs 122 yesterday and aluminium ingots softened by a Re per kg to Rs 152.
