Tin and nickel decline on sluggish demand

Tin and nickel declined at the non- ferrous metals market here today on stockists selling amidst sluggish demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, copper cable scrap, copper billets and brass sheet cuttings also edged down owing to poor offtake from consumers industries.

While, copper scrap heavy went marginally up owing to good demand from industrial users.

Tin slipped by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,365 from Thursday's close at Rs 1,375 and nickel moved down by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 660 as against Rs 665 yesterday.

Copper cable scrap, copper billets and brass sheet cuttings softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 392, Rs 420 and Rs 298, respectively.
 

However, copper scrap heavy inched up to Rs 387 per kg.
