Tin and nickel drop on lower demand

Tin and nickel prices dropped at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists selling amid lower demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, zinc and lead also eased due to poor offtake from alloy industries.

While, brass sheet cuttings recovered slightly owing to fresh demand from industrial users.

Nickel prices declined by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 670 from Tuesday's close at Rs 685 and tin prices also slipped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,455 as against Rs 1,460 yesterday.

Lead edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 156 as compared Rs 158 and zinc softened by a Re per kg to Rs 219.
 

However, brass sheet cuttings regained by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 318 from Rs 316 yesterday.
