Tin and nickel recovers on fresh demand

Tin and nickel prices recovered at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid fresh demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, copper, brass and zinc also surged further owing to rising demand from consuming industries.

Tin prices regained by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,365 from Wednesday's close at Rs 1,360 and nickel prices rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 795 as against Rs 790 yesterday.

Copper sheet cuttings moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 356 as compared to Rs 353 previously.

Copper cable scrap, copper utensils, copper wire bar and zinc edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 380, Rs 340, Rs 408 and Rs 195 as against Rs 378, Rs 338, Rs 406 and Rs 193 previously.
 

Copper scrap heavy, copper armature, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cuttings inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 373, Rs 361, Rs 271 and Rs 277, respectively.
