Tin and nickel slip on lower demand

Tin and nickel prices slipped at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists selling amid lower demand from alloy industries.

Whereas, copper armature, brass sheet cuttings, zinc and lead firmed up owing to good demand from consuming industries.

Tin prices declined by Rs 25 per kg to Rs 1,360 from Tuesday's close at Rs 1,385 and nickel prices fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 790 as against Rs 795 yesterday.

However, zinc edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 193 as compared to Rs 191 previously.

Copper armature, brass sheet cuttings and lead inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 360, Rs 276 and Rs 136, respectively.
