Tin prices continued to surge at the non-ferrous metal market here today on heavy stockists' buying amid persistent demand from alloy industries.
Elsewhere, brass prices recovered, lead edged up owing to better offtake from industrial users, while, copper eased further following lacklustre demand from consumer industries.
Tin rose by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,425 from Wednesday's close of Rs 1,415 and brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and lead inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 288, Rs 302 and Rs 155 respectively.
However, copper armature moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 371 as against Rs 373 yesterday, copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar and copper sheet cutting all softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 392, Rs 386, Rs 348, Rs 420 and Rs 368, respectively.
