Meanwhile, nickel fell due to subdued demand from alloy industries.

Industrial metals were trading lower at the LME on weak euro amidst renewed worries of eurozone debt crisis and troubled banking system on the back of cautiousness over scale of economic stimulus measures by China.

Tin spurted by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,345 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,340 and copper utensils moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 448 from Rs 446 previously.

Copper scrap heavy and copper sheet cutting both inched up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 481 and Rs 467.

However, nickel dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,100 from overnight close of Rs 1,105.
