Tin eases on sluggish demand

Tin prices eased at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' selling amidst sluggish demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, select copper and brass utensils scrap also softened owing to subdued demand from industrial users.

While, copper utensils prices slightly recovered following fresh demand from consuming industries.

Tin prices slipped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,445 from Monday's closing of Rs 1,450 and copper sheet cuttings edged down to Rs 2 per kg to Rs 431 as against Rs 433.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper billets and brass utensils scrap inched down per kg each to Rs 454, Rs 446, Rs 435, Rs 482 and Rs 334, respectively.
 

However, copper utensils inched up per kg to Rs 412.
