Tin, nickel fall further on sluggish demand

Tin and nickel prices fell further at the non-ferrous metals market here today due to stockists selling amid subdued demand from alloy industries.

However, copper armiture, copper utensils scrap and zinc edged up on better offtake from consumer industries.

Nickel dropped by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 720 from Tuesday's level of Rs 730 and tin dipped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,140 from Rs 1,145.

Copper scrap heavy also softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 373.

However, zinc moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 138 from Rs 136 previously, while, copper armiture and copper utensils scrap also inched up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 368 and Rs 350 respectively.
