Tin prices recover on renewed offtake

Tin prices recovered in an otherwise listless non-ferrous metal market here today on stockist buying amidst renewed demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, select copper and brass also gained owing to better demand from industrial users.

Tin shot-up by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,425 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,420.

Copper sheet cutting climbed by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 468 from Rs 465 and brass sheet cutting inched up by a rupee per kg to Rs 336.

However, copper scrap heavy and copper armiture both softened by a rupee per kg each to Rs 477 and Rs 468, respectively.
