Tin prices slip on subdued demand

Tin and copper utensils scrap slipped at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists selling amid subdued demand from alloy industries.

While, nickel, copper armiture, copper sheet cutting and brass utensils scrap recovered owing to renewed offtake from consumer industries.

Tin dropped by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 1,090 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,110.

Copper utensil scrap softened by a Re per kg to Rs 340.

However, nickel rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 700 as against Rs 695 yesterday.

Copper sheet cutting moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 358 from Rs 356.
 

Copper armiture and brass utensils scrap edged-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 359 and Rs 272, respectively.
