Elsewhere, Nickel and select copper declined on lower offtake from consumer industries.
Overseas, the base metals were mostly mixed in thin early trade treading waters on the back dim demand outlook.

Tin surged by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,080 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,070 and zinc climbed by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 150 from Rs 143.
Brass utensils scrap also inched up by a Re per kg to Rs Rs 274.
However, Nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 710 from overnight level of Rs 715.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar all softened by a Re per kg to Rs 370, Rs 365 and Rs 398 respectively.
