Tina Fey to star in wartime memoir 'Taliban Shuffle'

Comedienne Tina Fey is all set to star and producer journalist Kim Barker's wartime memoir 'Taliban Shuffle' for Paramount Pictures.

Fey is attached to star in and produce the adaptation with her former Saturday Night Live boss and 30 Rock cohort Lorne Michaels.

Robert Carlock, who worked with Fey as a writer on 30 Rock, has written the script for Shuffle.

The film's story revolves around Barker's arrival in Kabul, filing stories about militants, being a woman in wartime Iraq and Pakistan, dealing with boredom interspersed with dashes of violence and the promiscuous war correspondent culture, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
 

The memoir, released in March 2012, is noted for its black humour in portraying the absurdities of war.

The project is yet to find a director.

Fey's most recent work was the talked about co-hosting gig at the 71st Golden Globe Awards.

The actress will be next seen in 'Muppets Most Wanted' and 'This Is Where I Leave You'.
