Sikkim, a tiny northeastern state, today got praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for producing only organic products and said if the region becomes completely organic, it will change the lives of the people.
Replying to the debate on Motion of Thanks to the President's Address, Modi said Sikkim is going to be a completely organic state as everything produced in the state is organic.
"We have to think how we can develop the entire North Eastern region as an organic state. If we can do it, just imagine how it will change the region," he said.
Modi said if the Central government can help the northeastern region turn organic, lives of people in the far off region can be changed.
