Enquiries worth around Rs 300 crore were generated at the three-day knitfair which concluded in neighbouring Tirupur today.
Buyers and buying agents have expressed satisfaction with the Autumn, Winter and Mid-summer collections displayed at the 43rd Edition of India Fair, Chairman of India Knit Fair Association, A Shaktivel said in a release today.
Thirty five buyers from various countries and 125 buying houses attended the fair, he said.

The event attracted buyers from Canada, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Australia, Israel, UAE, and many other countries, as the participants received good business enquiries and expect a business of around Rs 275 - 300 crore.
The fair was organised by Apparel Export Promotion Council in collaboration with Tirupur Exporters' Association under the umbrella of India Knit Fair Association (IKFA). A total of 45 leading exporters from Tirupur, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Coimbatore had put up stalls, Shaktivel said.
An array of apparel categories for the 2017 season, which included knitted fleece garments, men's T-shirts, sleepwear, ladies tops, sportswear and leisure wear for all age groups were showcased.
3D effect prints, sublimation prints wicking finish, and cold pigment dyed garments were also displayed, the release said.
The 44th edition of India Knit Fair for Spring/Summer Collection 2018 is scheduled from May 10-12 next year at Tirupur, Shaktivel added.
