Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari today said that the party, if voted to power in the next assembly polls, would cut taxes to make the national capital lowest tax city in the country.

He also promised access to tap water to all slum clusters.

"On a promise for making Delhi, the city of lowest tax slabs (if voted to power), Tiwari stated that Delhi deserved this treatment for its all-round development and minimise the inconveniences for its people," industry body PHDCCI quoted Tiwari as saying in a release.

The municipalities in Delhi are also working to completely digitalise all operations to reduce physical interaction between authorities and people, he added.

Interestingly, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had promised to discontinue house tax in the recent MCD polls that it lost to the BJP.
