Accusing the State Election Commission of being "totally biased" for insisting on central forces to conduct panchayat election in West Bengal, the ruling Trinamool Congress today asserted that it will win even if para-military troops were deployed.

"It is like a match where all political parties are players and the Election Commission, the organiser. But what we are seeing now, is unprecedented. SEC, the organiser of the polls, has become totally biased towards certain players," Trinamool Congress general secretary Mukul Roy told a Bengali news channel.

Earlier too, Roy had accused the SEC of favouring Opposition parties in the state.

"We are not afraid...We know it very well that irrespective of numerous conspiracies, we will emerge victorious in the end," Roy claimed.
