TMC and Cong councillors bring no-confidence in civic body

Six Trinamool Congress councillors today joined five belonging to Congress in bringing a no-confidence motion against the TMC ruled Suri civic body in Birbhum district.

The letter expressing no-confidence was handed over to the subdivisional magistrate, Chandranath Roy Chowdhury.

The councillors claimed that they had the support of one more TMC councillor who was out of station.

The SDM said, "I have received the letter of no-confidence. The required steps will be taken according to the state municipal act.
