TMC, CPI(M) trying to spread canards against Modi's rally

The BJP today accused the the ruling Trinamool Congress and opposition CPI(M) for seeking to question the source of funds for the mega rally by its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi here on February five.

"The Trinamool and CPI(M) are spreading canards against the rally by Narendra Modi's by questioning our source of funds and saying that money is being charged for those booking seats online. These are false and intended to disrupt our rally," West Bengal state BJP president Rahul Sinha said at a party function.

Sinha said till now over 18,000 people have registered online for seats.

He said that from February one party supporters and fans of the Gujarat chief minister would sport Modi masks at the Kolkata Book fair to raise awareness about the rally.
 

"Narendra Modi's rally will be one of the biggest and a historic rally that the Brigade Parade Ground has ever witnessed," Sinha claimed.

Several retired IAS and IPS officers joined the party as also former Trinamool Congress MP Bikram Sarkar during the day.
