TMC inks MoU with IYF for city's development

Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has inked an MoU with International Youth Fellowship (IYF) for development of Thane city through the South Korea-based organisation's 'A Changed Mind - A Changed City' project.

TMC commissioner Sanjeev Jaiswal said the MoU was signed for the over human mind development which will give development of the city an overall fillip.

Dr Jae Hong Kim, General Secretary of IYF inked the MoU with Sunil Chavan, Additional Commissioner, TMC here, a press note issued by IYF today said.

Jaiswal said the civic body will support IYF's 'A Changed Mind - A Changed City' initiative in all possible ways.
 

Kim on the occasion brought into notice that the rapid development of South Korea was due to the change of the mindset of the people, which leaders brought about in the citizens.

"So, be it a country, a society, a city or an individual, development is vastly related to the mindset which they possess," he said.

According to the MoU, a 'mind education and vocational training centre' is likley to come up in the city wherein global resource persons will be brought by IYF and initiatives like youth festivals, overseas volunteer exchange programmes etc will be held.
