Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay underwent Laproscopic Cholecystectomy yesterday at a private hospital yesterday after which he was stated to be stable and doing well, a release said today.
Apollo Gleneagles hospital's medical superintendent (clinical) Dr Partho Bhattacharya said Bandoyopadhyay was "stable and doing well" after the operation.
The 62-year-old Bandyopadhyay was admitted to the private hospital on Tuesday for planned surgical removal of the gall bladder.
He was diagnosed of acute Calculous Cholecystitis with contained rupture of the bladder along with Empyaema, it said.
