TMC removes senior leader from party posts in north Bengal

The Trinamool Cpmgress has removed fromm the post of opposition Congress leader Nantu Pal in Siliguri Municipal Corporation.

Senior TMC leader Goutam Dev said Pal has been removed from the opposition leader's post.

Party sources said, there was murmur against him once he spoke against tabling up no-confidence motion against CPI(M) leader and SMC Mayor Asok Bhattacharjee.

Sources said Pal was also removed from Darjeeling district committee of TMC.

The move was initiated once TMC leader Baichung Bhutia complained against Pal at higher level in the wake of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reportedly getting peeved over his comments.
