"We have already identified the seats and the process of selection of candidates is in progress. The names of the candidates are likely to be announced by September end," state party chief Pramod Sharma told reporters here.
When asked about alliance with any national or regional party, he said the TMC would not have any pre-poll alliance with any party but any post-election alliance would depend on the emerging political situation.
The TMC has set a target of enrolling two lakh members and the north zone in-charge of the party K D Singh would address a rally at Theog on September 27, he said.
"The TMC has prepared a 20-point document to educate the youth about the ideology of the party and it would make a serious bid to emerge as a third force in the state," he added.
Sharma, an associate professor in Himachal Pradesh University, who is likely to contest the election from Theog against leader of the Opposition Vidya Stokes, said he has taken leave from the university and made his intentions known to the party.
