Trinamool Congress tonight decided to slap show-cause notices on three party MPs for alleged anti-party activities after they shared the dais with rebel party MLA Shikha Mitra, with one of them launching an attack on a section of the leadership.

"The disciplinary committee of the Trinamool Congress decided to show-cause three MPs - Kunal Ghosh, Satabdi Roy and Tapas Pal - for anti-party activity. The letter of show-cause will be served on them in a day or two," TMC general secretary Mukul Roy told PTI.

The three MPs were speaking at a blood donation camp where senior TMC leader Somen Mitra, Shikha Mitra's husband, was present.

Shikha was earlier suspended by the party for openly criticising Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her style of functioning and other matters.

Speaking at the function, Ghosh alleged that a section of the party leadership was trying to ignore those who had made sacrifices for TMC's growth.

Satabdi Roy, a Bengali film actress-turned-politician and the TMC Lok Sabha member from Birbhum district, praised Shikha, saying she had "the courage to speak the truth".

Tapas Pal, also an actor, too echoed Satabdi in praising Sikha Mitra.

Kunal Ghosh, the TMC Rajya Sabha member whose name cropped up in the Saradha chit fund controversy, without naming anybody, said, "They are thinking that those who had joined TMC with no self-interest, let them stay away."

Ghosh had some months back offered to resign from Rajya Sabha if charges were proved against him in the chit fund scam.

Ghosh, in a six page letter to party chief Banerjee, had earlier said, "I am ready to face and co-operate with any investigation.

He also demanded a CBI inquiry into the Saradha scam, saying those allegedly associated with it should be called for interrogation.

"Since the allegation has been made against me, I want a CBI probe into the Saradha scam. All those whose names figured in it and those, who were known by Saradha group CMD Sudipta Sen, should be interrogated by CBI," Ghosh said at a programme here.
