Trinamool Congress, which has been demanding withdrawal of the controversial land acquisition bill, today said it would keep raising contentious issues to corner the BJP-led government "on a daily basis".

"Along with the issue of corruption which we are committed to raise, we will continue to raise other important issues throughout this session on a daily basis to corner the government," TMC parliamentary leader Sudip Bandopadhyay told PTI here.

The party MPs held a dharna at the main gate of Parliament House this morning to press for their demand for withdrawal of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Amendment) Bill to amend the 2013 law.

They raised slogans like 'kisan ro raha hai, Modi sarkar so raha hai' (the farmer is crying while the Modi government sleeps), while also expressing concern over the rising number of farmers' suicides in different parts of the country.
