Trinamool Congress today said that the party was yet to make a decision on whether to contest the coming elections to the state assembly expected to be held later this year.
State unit Trinamool Congress president B T Nghinglova told a press conference that the decision on contesting the assembly elections would be taken after deliberations and in consultation with the central leaders.
Nghinglova said that the state government should consult and take into confidence all the political parties in the state before making decisions that would affect the entire state.
He said that many recent incidents in the state could have been prevented and avoided if the state government consulted other political parties.
