Tata Main Hospital (TMH) in collaboration with a Kolkata-based premier hospital group launched a three-day training program from today for medical professionals to develop them as trainers.
Addressing the gathering at the inaugural session of the training programme organised by the Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, TMH, Dr T P Madhusudanan, General Manager, Medical Services of TMH highlighted the importance of such training while Dr. Vimal Akhouri of Boston, USA was the Guest of Honour.
Madhusudan said sudden cardiac arrest, i.E. Sudden stoppage of heart is a major health concern throughout the world.
TMH doctors will also provide Basic Life Support (BLS) training, advocated by American Heart Association (AHA), to the students of various schools to generate public awareness.
