Tamil Nadu Assembly was adjourned sine die today at the end of the budget session, which began on July 10.
Key bills, including one to end restriction on dhoti in clubs and other public places, and another for preventive detention of even first time offenders in serious crimes like sexual violence and cyber crime, under the stringent Goondas Act were passed.
The session witnessed some heated debates even as DMK members were suspended on July 22 after they were evicted for the fourth time after creating ruckus.
Before the adjournment, Speaker P Dhanapal listed out business transacted during the session which had 22 working days.
