Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami today chaired a meeting of the state cabinet.
The government did not divulge details of the meeting, which came amidst the DMK's persistent demand for immediate convening of the state Assembly to debate the budgetary grants for various government departments.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan met state Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao at the Raj Bhavan here.
Raj Bhavan sources confirmed the meeting but did not disclose any detail.
