Amid political uncertainty, Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan and Director General of Police TK Rajendran today called on Chief Minister O Panneerselvam at his residence here.
Vaidyanathan, followed by Rajendran, arrived at the chief minister's official residence at Greenways Road separately and had discussions with him for nearly 30 minutes, sources close to the Panneerselvam camp said.
The meeting between Panneerselvam and the top officials comes at a time when the chief minister has raised a banner of revolt against AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala, saying he was forced to step down to make way for her elevation to the top post in the party.
It was not immediately known what transpired at the meeting.
