TN Dy CM, Kamal Haasan condole Hawking's death

Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam and MNM founder-president Kamal Haasan today condoled the death of renowned scientist Stephen Hawking.

In a tweet, Panneerselvam hailed Hawking as an "extraordinary person", a "great scientist" and an "unforgettable" person.

"Stephen Hawking's demise is an irreparable loss for mankind," he added.

Haasan, founder of the Makkal Neethi Maiam (MNM) said people all over the world would be proud that Hawking lived among them.

"We shall forever remember his knowledge grant. His fame shall live (forever)," the actor-politician said in a tweet.

Hawking, world famous British scientist and modern cosmology's brightest star known for his groundbreaking work with black holes and relativity, died today at his home in Cambridge aged 76.
