Tamil Nadu Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao today greeted people of the state for "happy and green Diwali."
Diwali signifies light of joy and prosperity and the 'Festival of Lights' created new opportunities to work together with positive energy, he said in a Raj Bhavan release.
"May the divine light remove the darkness of ignorance and bring triumph, solidarity, good health and progress in all spheres. I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all the people for a happy and Green Diwali," he said.
BJP leaders Pon Radhakrishnan and Tamilisai Sounderrajan, TNCC President Su Thirunavukkarasar and TMC (M) leader GK Vasan also extended their greetings for Deepavali.
