Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit today offeredworshipat Lord Amirthakadesawara Swamy temple at Thirukkadaiyur in the ditrict.
The Governor is on a two day visit to the district to conduct review meeting of various projects and participate in various programmes.
The Governor was received with ceremonial temple honours by the Dharmapuram Adheenam Junior Pontiff Masillamani Desika Paramacharya Swamigal and temple priest Ganesa Gurukkal.
Purohit is scheduled to visit the Shrine Basilica at Vailankanni, the Christian pilgrim centre tomorrow.
