A new 'Tamil Nadu House and Cultural Centre,' will be set up in Mumbai, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam said Saturday.
On the lines of a Tamil Nadu House in the national capital, which catered to the needs of officials, people's representatives and the public who visited Delhi, a new facility will be set up in Mumbai, he said in the State Assembly.
The decision comes following representations, he said.
The proposed centre will facilitate stay of officials and public visiting Maharashtra, help take follow-up action on Tamil Nadu's industrial growth by liasoning with industries there, and propel growth of State tourism, he said.
