Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was remembered today on her 96th birth anniversary in Tamil Nadu with Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and Congress leaders paying homage to her.
Jayalalithaa paid floral tributes to a portrait of Gandhi at the Secretariat here and also led her cabinet colleagues and government employees in taking the National Integration Day pledge.
State Congress leaders also paid tributes to Gandhi at the TNCC headquarters, Satyamurthy Bhavan.
Gandhi, born on November 19, 1917.
