Tamil Nadu's Don Bosco School got the better of city-based Al Barkat Malik English School by eight wickets but failed to prevent the latter from entering the semi-finals of the Under 16 Coca-Cola Cricket Cup Inter State Challenge here today.

Bosco rode on man-of-the-match Joy Kenny's sterling knock of 92 in 80 balls with 13 hits to the fence to chase the local outfit's modest total of 162 but the three earlier wins by Al Barkat earned them the place in the last four against Kiddys Corner school from Gwalior.

The other semi-final would put Sports Campus College, Lucknow against Delhi's Salwan Boys School.

Karthik Shanmugan and Rahul Misra of Bosco took 3 for 29 and 2 for 30 respectively to help bowl out the local school in only 41.5 overs.

In other games, St Jones Junior College, Hyderabad edged past Shreyas Samarpan Vidyalay, Baroda by seven runs, Kiddys Corner outclassed Debinagar KCR Vidyapith, West Bengal by 88 runs while DAV School, Punjab, defeated AVR E-Techno School, Vijayawada by 39 runs.
