'Spider-Man' star Tobey Maguire and his producing partner matthew Plouffe have acquired the movie rights to Peter Carlson's book 'Junius and Albert's Adventures in the Confederacy: A Civil War Odyssey'.
The story of the book revolves around two Northern journalists, who were caught by Confederate soldiers and imprisoned in seven different prison camps over 20 months before escaping from North Carolina in late 1864, reported Variety.
The pair traveled more than 400 miles over a month with the help of slaves before reaching pro-Union lines.
