A 3-year-old boy was today killed after being allegedly run over by a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus in the city.
The incident took place this morning at Seva Kunj in Panchavati locality when the deceased Ronit Chavan was returning home from school with his mother Sangita, an official of Panchavati police station said.
Sangita also sustained injuries and is admitted to a private hospital, he said.
Police said infuriated locals pelted stones and damaged the bus.
