Toddler electrocuted to death

A one-year-old boy was electrocuted after he came in concact with the wire of a flooring machine at a community centre in East Delhi's Patparganj area, police said today.

The victim was identified as Anshul, a native of Mahoba village in UP. He was in Delhi with his parents and his paternal uncle works at the community centre, said a police official.

Around 11.30 AM yesterday, Anshul's parents were away and his uncle had taken him to his workplace. While he was working on the terrace floor of the community centre, the child came in conact with the wire and was electrocuted, said the official.
 

Anshul was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead. His body was then sent for postmortem and later handed over to the family, said the sofficial.

A case of negligence causing death has been registered against unknown persons at the Pandav Nagar police station and investigation is underway, the official added.
