A two-year-old boy died here today after he fell into a water bucket while playing.
He was declared brought dead after being taken to a hospital, police said.
The child accidentally fell into a bucket filled with water while playing. Unaware of the incident, the child's mother Kasturi searched for her baby boy everywhere in vain.
She also alerted her neighbours.
After a while, she found that the child had fallen into the water bucket and rushed him to a hospital where he was pronounced brought dead.
Post mortem is on and a case has been registered, police said.
