At least 75 Syrian soldiers and allied militiamen were killed today in a multi-front attack by the Islamic State group on the eastern city of Deir Ezzor, a monitor said.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, revising an earlier toll, said at least 60 of those killed had died in the northern suburb of Al-Baghaliyeh, which IS captured.
