Toll in bakery fire goes up to three

Two persons who sustained injuries in a bakery fire here on July 15 have succumbed to their injuries, taking the toll in the mishap to three.

While Paramanandan died yesterday, Abhimanyu succumbed to injuries today, Chief Minister K Palaniswami said in a statement here.

Expressing grief over their death, he announced a relief of Rs one lakh each to their families.

The two men were undergoing treatment at a government hospital here.

A fire and rescue services personnel was killed and 48 persons were injured when an LPG cylinder exploded during a fire that broke out in a bakery near here on Saturday.
