Raising the bar, a Tollywood flick now takes a peek into the curious world of still photography of models and the prudishness over nudity issues but never takes any stance.

The reel-life still photographer Indrashis and his model friend Debalina in 'Amar Ami' say the shots, bathed in light and shades, are more aesthetical than tittilating, more realistically imaginative than physical and mere sex-based.

"I play a still photographer who mostly does model photography. There has been little attempt to probe the psyche of these people, who freeze into frame beautiful female bodies from the artistic point of view," Indrashis, having known lots of such people being in showbiz industry, said.

Says director Arko Sinha, " If there is voyeurism it is in the mind of viewer. A model photographer is always in pursuance of art, in various forms, in landscapes, in a women's physique. The film has model photography as reference point but never exploits the incidents flooding their lives and careers."

Debalina, who portrays the model Nikita in the film, argues "A photographer from the professiobal and technical point of view can always be attracted by a female body which has been crafted with so much care and so perfectly by God."

Amar Ami, which has been produced by Reel & Real Motion Pictures, has passed the Censor's scrutiny without any cuts.

It also starred Bonku Babu and Bharate actor Arunima Ghosh and popular comedian Biswanath.
