'Life Flows On', a film starring veteran Tom Alter and five other actors, will highlight the challenges faced by people suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
Produced and directed by Vishaal Nityanand, the film showcases the emotional and psychological problems faced by those caring for such patients.
The film also highlights how the disease is still not given priority by the policymakers in India.

"Around 44 million worldwide and 3.7 Million people in India are suffering from Alzheimer's but the awareness about the disease is still in its nascent stage in the country. The film deals with a sensitive issue but we have made it into an entertaining and engaging cinema to reach out to people," Nityanand said.
Alter stars in the role of an inspiring father to British actress Allegra Dunn, who plays the lead role of Emma in the movie. After her father's death, she is left to care for her mother, who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
Theatre personality Satyabrata Raut, Norwegian actress Astri Ghosh, TV star Sweta Bhatt and Ganjendra Verma also star in the movie.
Nityanand said he is planning to release the film later this year.
