Actor Tom Vaughan-Lawlor has confirmed that he has joined "Avengers: Infinity War" as an antagonist.

The 40-year-old actor will reportedly play a character named Ebony Maw, a member of the Black Order in the Marvel film, reported DigitalSpy.

The part played by Vaughan-Lawlor has the ability to manipulate the minds of others without them realising that they are under his control.

Confirming the news, the "Love/Hate" actor said, "I am... But it's like I'm one of those ones where you go into a sentence to say something about it and hope you have a job at the end of the sentence.

"You sign so many documents and waivers and people ask you about it and you have to give the generic and boring, 'I can't say too much about it'. But I am doing it and it's really amazing and an amazing thing to be part of."

Vaughan-Lawlor was spotted wrestling with Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange in photo from the sets of "Infinity War".

The movie will be released in the UK on April 27, 2018, and in the US on May 4, 2018.
