Asia's leading business leaders will gather in the UAE this week to facilitate conversation on key issues of development and trade collaboration with the seventh edition of the Asian Business Leadership Forum (ABLF) being hosted here.

UAE's business ideation company IEDEA has announced a collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Economy for its flagship leadership event series, the Asian Business Leadership Forum 2016.

"We are honoured to have the official association with the Ministry of Economy of the UAE and the ABLF, which has earned high credibility and status across 42 nations of Asia since the inaugural event nine years ago," Malini N Menon, the Managing Director of IEDEA, said.

"Together, we have plans to strategically leverage the considerable goodwill that the ABLF has built over these years to promote UAE's position as the centre of the world, offering the best infrastructure for business, investment and lifestyle," she said.

The seventh annual edition of the Asian Business Leadership Forum (ABLF) is scheduled for Saturday here.

The forum brings together leaders from across the world, engaged in government services, public and private enterprise, by promoting the spirit of collaboration, an essential feature on the road to the progress and development of the global economy.

"The work of the ABLF celebrates regional and international dialogue and cooperation to promote growth and create a better future for the region. The UAE has good and close trade and economic relationships with other Asian countries," said Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, the Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development.

The event this year rolls out under the theme of 'Heroes of the Innovation Economy' where 14 globally recognised leaders with a strong social consciousness, who have leveraged innovative technologies and successfully adapted new learnings to their sectors of business, will be honoured, a statement said.

Among the dignitaries who are expected to attend includes former Former Union Minister Kamal Nath, Co-Chairman Hinduja Group Gopichand P Hinduja, Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal and former Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.
