Three senior Congress leaders from Haryana -- Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kiran Chowdhary and Randeep Singh Surjewala -- held separate rallies on Sunday and attacked the BJP governments at the Centre and state over a host of issues.
Addressing a rally at Pehowa in Kurukshetra district as part of the sixth leg of the ongoing 'Jan Kranti Yatra', Hooda said a 'Sampoorna Kranti' rally would be held in December "to start an all-out campaign to vote out the BJP from the state".
The former Haryana chief minister claimed that the ruling BJP was so disturbed with the "massive support" for the 'Jan Kranti Yatra' that "they have started lodging false cases" against him.
"However, this will not deter me from raising issues being faced by the people," he said.
Hooda and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra have been booked by Haryana Police recently for alleged irregularities in a Gurgaon land deal.
"We will expose the complete failure of the BJP government in the state... till then, the Jan Kranti Yatra would continue representing the hopes and aspirations of the people of the state," Hooda said.
The people will teach a befitting lesson to the BJP for making "false promises", he said and promised loan wavier farmers, doubling of old age pensions and halving power tariffs if the Congress is voted to power in the assembly polls scheduled next year.
He also called on all Congress workers to support the nation-wide shut down called by the party on Monday over rising fuel prices.
At a 'Parivartan rally' in Kurukshetra, Leader of Congress Legislature Party Kiran Chowdhary lashed out at the BJP-led government at the Centre on Rafale deal issue.
Alleging that the BJP came to power at the Centre and the state by making false promises, she claimed that all sections of the society were disenchanted with the saffron party.
Referring to rising fuel prices at "Badlaav rally" in Panipat district's Samalkha, Surjewala, an MLA from Kaithal, said, "The common man is being fleeced to fill up the government's coffers."
He said petrol and diesel prices are at an all-time high and the common people are bearing the pain.
Surjewala said if people elect Congress to power in Haryana in the Assembly polls scheduled next year, it would set up a sugar mill, Industrial Model Township and provide fast connectivity to Samalkha region.
